How do i stiffen the suspension on my 96 yz 125?

i weigh around 150 to 155 and eveytime i jump it over 5 feet it bottoms out i know it has something to do with the little cannister on the side but idk help me out plz. thanx guys

  1. you are the target weight for the stock setup so I would guess the springs are worn out and the shock is in need of a recharge.  if the suspension has never been built, it is certainly time.

    adjusting the compression and rebound clickers on the fork and shock won't actually stiffen the suspension, they control the action of the suspension- how fast or slow it will respond.  you could try turning the clickers up (clockwise) but i doubt that would fix your problem.

    this page will tell you how to adjust your clickers, but again I would say it won't help much if you are bottoming out on 5 foot jumps
