How do i stop 100% cotton pants from attracting cat hair and other things from my carpet?

I bought some 100% cotton pants, and a pair of organic cotton pants. They are really comfy, except that they attract tons of cat hair and other hairs and fibers from my carpet. Is there a way to stop this?

It annoys me to death because it makes clean new pants look quite dirty from the hair, fibers, and other stuff from the carpet that just starts to stick on the pants.

I heard that you can wash cotton in the wash machine on cold and dry it someway so that your pants wont attract cat hair and fibers and stuff. Any truth to this?

If there is, could anyone explain how to do that process?

Our carpet is vacuumed every single day and I still have the same issue.
