How do i stop getting the av 2009 anti virus ads on my computer?

i have sympatico security features, which are on. i am constantly getting ads for av 2008 and av 2009 as well as pop ups falsely advising that my computer is at risk unless i buy this anti virus system. how do i stop this annoyance ???

same here.. it happens when you surf the web

on a certain page, only way to get rid of it is

do a system restore

I have the same problem... im at the point where i want to reformat... ive run constant scans in safe mode, regular boot, online virus scans from trend micro, AVG for free, adaware, I use BO Cleaner... and it always deletes it... but theres something else recreating start up entries for me,... and once and a while ill get a pop up in IE but never when i use firfox which is my first option anyways. I keep stopping it from start up but a new DLL comes up for start up... something keeps creating a new program for startup... im just too lazy to figure out what it is... so im thinking of reformatting

I don't know what sympatico is, but you obviously are missing something that would stop these popups, which are spyware.

Get a good antispyware, like SuperAntiSpyware, and get rid of the annoyances. Update it weekly and use it often to keep this stuff out of your computer.
