  1. Just gotta use them... eventually the coating material causing the noise will be burned off due to friction.

  2. maybe the more you ride the bicycle,it will go away

or you can just change them but other then that there is nothing for you to do

    sorry

  3. copper slip on back of pads

  4. Do not use oil,  you'll never be able to stop.

The reason why they are squeaking is because the brake-shoe isn't toed right.  The front of the brake shoe should hit the rim before the back.  Go back to the shop and tell him to finish fixing your brakes and to toe it right.  Maybe he isn't compedant enough to know what you mean so have him use something flat like a credit card or a cardboard off of a tube box and but it in the back part of the shoe and have him loosen the brakes pads a tad, squeeze the lever, and then re-tighten it.

  5. rubber brake blocks on a alloy wheel will squeel...but if the disc brakes a little copper slip grease on the rear of the pads may help....well it does in motorbikes andcars anyway.

  6. pump the brakes drive well you have your down on the brake. do this i don`t mean put you right down just enough  so the car  still same with the . oil them up more the better if there..

  7. Angle the brake pads so that as you pull on the brake, the front of the pad touches the wheel rim first, and the harder you pull on the brake, more of the pad touches the rim.

Don't use WD 40 as suggested by the well-meaning numpty above!!

  8. Once the brakes have bedded in the noise will stop.

    Ja.

  9. take it to a better shop.  they'll adjust the pad's toe-in position.

  10. In the past some things that have worked for me.

Wipe down the metal of the tire frame where the pads run, it collects a lot of dirt and grime.

Chances are the brakes need to be angled a little. When they come in perfectly flush they can squeal. If you are mechanically inclined you should be able to adjust the brakes yourself in about a minute or two. If you are worried about ruining your breaks most good bikes shops should do something like that for you for free.

Good luck with it. I know that it can be annoying.

  11. brake dust and any non asbestos pad will cause noise in some situations. if the were just done take it back and have the brakes looked at with your complaint.

  12. well new bike or take it some where to get it fixed

  13. They might need changing, or you can try WD-40

  14. Dont use your brakes.

  15. They might not be adjusted right - go to another bike shop or try WD40

  16. I used to take a file or sand paper and rub off some of the rubber on those little brakes and then put them on. Eliminates the squeak, and gets a better stop.

  17. PLEASE do NOT put WD40 on your pads as some idiots have suggested, not if you ever want to stop. Try a couple of really hard stops, if that doesn't work, get some copper slip put on the BACK of the pads.

  18. Have you tried cleaning the rims of the wheel yet? Sometimes old rubber and grease can build up on the wheel causing it to squeal when the brakes are applied. Try cleaning them and see  if it helps.

  19. may want to try softer rubber. hard rubber lasts longer but more likely to squeal.

  20. DO NOT use WD-40 as this will stop the brakes working and you will have big problems when you TRY to stop !

I would use the sandpaper advice as said before me.

  21. do you mean bike like a bell ring ring, or motorcycle like killer gang, whichever one, just maybe wait for them to get worn in a bit

  22. Try putting WD-40 on the brakes, as well as the chain. That stuff can fix anything plus you can get it at Wal-Mart.
