  1. sometimes if the cdplayer is generic c**p itll often skip

  2. Make sure the CDs aren't scratched. That's the only reason I can think of that would cause skipping or jumping while playing.

  3. There's two reasons for the CD skipping, well three that i can think of off the top of my head.

    Reason 1: scratched CD

Reason 2: the CD player isn't secured all the way so it jiggles as you are driving, thus causing the skipping.

Reason 3: if it was a one time thing, you may have hit a bad bump or something that made the player move and skip

The ways to make it stop?

Well the easy way is to make sure the CD isn't scratched.

If that was not the problem then the only other way is to take apart your center consul (sp?) and re-tighten all the screws for the CD player. If you have to do this, and are not that skilled in car audio or car repair, consult a specialist.
