How do i stop my computer from lagging?

I have an IBM Think Pad T30: under my system info it says...

4 - M CPU 2.20 GHZ

1.19 GHZ, 1.00 GB of RAM

Well, i play a video game and i like making movies, i use camtasia to make them when i play this game and record with camtasia, however, the end result is very choppy and it doesn't look very good. how can i fix this, i have tried some methods on youtube, but they don't work.

it may be because you have too much running on your computer at one time and its causing your computer to run slow and make programs lag. go to task manager and close programs that you arent using and that should help.

You need more RAM

2-4 GBs is preferable.

You could always just run Disc Clean-up or Defrag, that always helps.
