When i put in my hand and some lettuce my mice come up to me, eat some of the lettuce then come and sniff my fingers then bite them. Is it the smell? They aren't wild or anything and they don't bite each other.

  1. When you feed them the lettuce, they most likely think your fingers are food. If it isn't that, they are aggressive eaters and that isn't good. Lettuce doesn't really have a scent, so I don't think that's the case. You can't make them stop though. What you should do is....

Get some lettuce and get ready to feed it to the mice. Once you open the cage, set the lettuce down and take your hand out of the cage. Wait until they are done eating, then you can touch them and what not. I suggest that you never put your hand near them when they are eating. If you want to try to make them stop then I suggest that you handle them when eating everyday. They may just not be used to you. It's a common thing.

    Good luck :)

  2. rub your hands in cyanide!

    that'll teach them!

  3. Before you give them the lettuce rub a little pepper, alcohol, anything spicy......It will take a little while but they will catch on..P.s don't over do it though u just want it  to be un desirable for them to bit u not poisons.

  4. this kind of thing happened with me and my rats

  5. Buy a pet snake.

  6. wear chain mail gloves, lets see them bite you through that stuff....so ....yeah
