How do i stop my pup from climbing the stairs and collecting objects around the house. ?

my pup is four months old and we've had him for more than a week now but he has started to get mischievous. He has started climbing the stairs when he knows someone is up there do you have and ideas to stop this?

last thing is that he has started to rip Magazines and im scared hes going to start with the wires as hes already barking at them, can any body help? ? ?

Use a baby gate for the stairs, and if there's anything you don't want him to have, pick it up and put it somewhere he can't reach it.  As for the wires, put something in front of them so he can't get to them.

haha. my saint bernard is like that ever since she was a puppy. so cute how dogs just wants to be with you.

but get a baby gate. you can gate the stairs or gate him in a room where he can play in (it also makes potty training easier).

as for the ripping of the magazines, you can only "punish" him when you catch him in the act of ripping them. give him plenty of toys and play with him a lot, that might take the attention off magazines.

Put a baby gate across the bottom of the stairs.

A baby gate is the answer.

You also need to make certain he has lots of toys that belong to him. Keep them in a basket so he will know what it is ok to play with.
