When i play faster pieces and pieces with lots of string changes, i get tons of bounces that totally throws of my rhythm if it doesnt have me stop its so bad. Plus it sounds bad. Any ways i could learn to stop this?

Ps, ive tried loosening the bow and that has some, but little effect

  1. every string player at somepoint will have an issue with this! Some of the ways i got over it, (and still apply cos my teacher wants me to play faster and faster things :) ) was really slow practise focusing only on you bow arm, also your wrist could be a little high, always remember to have weight in your upper arm (because this is where you power will come from) with the string crossings practise them slowly on open strings. With fast passages stick the metronome on and work your way faster, by playing a passage 5times (or untill perfect) and then make it faster. Also try playing in the very middle (imbetween the finger board and bridge). Hope this helps a little :) p.s don't get frustrated cos it tends to make bounces worse! haha :)
