How do i stop norton anti virus from asking me to purchase(upgrade) every time i start my computer.?

Go to Norton's website and download the removal tool http://www.symantec.com/symnrt . Run that and then go to http://www.free.grisoft.com and download the free release of AVG 8.0 and install that.

Norton is a resource hog and also many virus writers target the big companies, since symantec is such a big one many virus' are written to bypass what it does. AVG is a small program that does a great job, it also updates more reglarly than many other anti-virus programs.

download and run the Norton Removal tool (SymNRT) to completely remove Norton from your computer, and then download a free (and good) antivirus like AVG Free 8.0 or Avira Antivir Personal Edition
