  1. It's normal for kittens to drink their mothers milk as well as eat kitten chow. The mom's milk has essential vitamins in it that will help them grow up to be very healthy and strong. The longer they drink their moms milk, the better! If the mom wants them to stop, shell let them know. Dont worry about it!

  2. Separate them so that they can't nurse. After a while the mother's milk ducts will dry up and there won't be any milk left. Then they can go back together.

And please get them all spayed and neutered.

  3. Mother cats rarely nurse that long- are you SURE of their age?  Do you have photos?  I just really doubt they are nursing at that age, I think you must have been given some inaccurate information.  Mothers wean their kittens naturally around 7 weeks of age.  17 weeks is over 4 months old, they just don't keep nursing that long.  Please seek veterinary advice.

  4. With all the cats i have had that have had kittens, the mom will tell the little ones when they can't nurse anymore.  They can eat kitten food and nurse at the same time for a little while. Don't worry she will let them know.

  5. the mother will eventually get sick of them doing it and kick them away.

  6. if she is already eating kitten food then its ok to just give her to the person because she doesn't need the milk to live she is just still nursing because the milk is still there and the mother still lets her. we have this problem with our cats to but it doesn't hurt any thing....kittens are usually weened at 6 weeks
