  1. you don't, being a veggie lover is rather foolish

  2. You should retort by letting them know what they eating instead, GMOs! Watch some of this stuff, it's good fighting material!

  3. Just tell them to mind their own business... not quite sure if the method will work but i usually do that to my friends and they will lay off.  And if it happens again, don't hang around them as much as possible. Find another place to eat.

  4. How old are these girls? They're obviously both ignorant and disrespectful. Just know you're totally entitled to your own choices. Ignoring them is all I can say. They're not worth your energy.

  5. I had a friend who always waved anything non-vegan in my face. Lunchmeat, cookies, burgers, you name it.

He finally got the message to stop when I grabbed the yogurt he was waving two centimetres from my mouth and poured it in his hair.

  6. tell them to stop being so ignorant. if they keep it up, tell on them.

  7. These girls are bullies, and there is something that they see in you that tells them that you make a good victim.  If they weren't bullying you for being a vegetarian, they'd be bullying you or someone else for other things -- for wearing the "wrong" clothes, or having the "wrong" hairstyle, or driving the "wrong" car, or for getting good grades, or whatever else you do that is different from what they do.

They are just jerks, and I'm sorry to say that I have never been good at dealing with jerks except to ignore them.

This is the only thing I can come up with for a comeback, and it's probably rather lame:

Bully: "Oh, are you still doing that vegetarian thing?  It's so stupid! Whats the point?"

You: "I'm surprised to hear you say that; I would think that you'd be relieved that I'm a vegetarian."

Bully (puzzled):  "Oh yeah?  Why should I be relieved?" <snort>

You: "Because it means that I don't eat stupid cows.  So you're safe."

    .......

(Apologies to all of the veg*ns who think that I am insulting real cows by using the word "stupid."  But I think that the real cows would thank me in this case, if they could understand my intent here.)

  8. ignore them

  9. tell them it's not a 'thing'

tell them that if they want to eat dead animals who had lived a worse life than anyone could possibly imagine, it's their choice. just like if you don't, that's yours.

if they're going to be losers and laugh at you for being compassionate  and healthy, not only alive, and wave food in your face [and in your throat] they're gunna get in trouble when someone finds out [not when you tell]

  10. well if you are truly commited to being a vegetarian then that shouldnt bother you just ignore her! and if not say at least im saving animals and its my choice what i eat i mind your own buissness if she still doesnt listen like i said ignore her

  11. this is just kids being kids being a vegetarian is your choice and you just need to do as you think is right and stop worrying about others criticizing you for what you believe in

  12. Honestly, this is really hard advice to follow,

but ignore them. The SOLE reason they do this is to get a reaction and stir up trouble.

    DON'T GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION!

(Except maybe for "Have fun with your diseases." Short and sweet.) :D

  13. wow,i have been picked on too because im a vegetarian.im i am still hiding it from my own best friends.ive told one of my closest friends and she told her mom which obviously told her husband and now when i go over to her house their like,"oh here comes the vegetarian girl."im like excuse me!i will go home if u want me 2 beacause i obviously dont feel welcome here just because im a vegetarian.it hurt me,idk if it does to u.but,my step dad my own family have even said at bbq resturants to throw some grass at me because all they had was meat.i was very offended.the name calling and making fun of doesnt stop, atleast in my life.sorry for the bad news but.you can tell the principle or a councilor.best of luck.

  14. I have been a vegetarian for a couple of years now. If I could tell you one thing, it's this: it will never stop. If they stop, someone else will start. It's never ending. People get a kick out of making fun of differences to the "norm" and when it comes to something you do at least 3 times a day, there is a lot of opportunities for it to happen. My only advice, don't let it show that it bothers you. Simply answer their questions and change the subject. They will (hopefully) get bored and turn it down a notch.

Better yet, invite them over and put factory farm videos on. Even if it doesn't work exactly, they might understand deep down. Good luck.

  15. Put the "meet your meat" video on their I-pod :-)

I just tell people that I choose not to fill my body with the rotten corpses of dead animals.

If it keeps up report them. It is against the law to harass people for their beliefs.

  16. explain to them why you are a vegetarian, and tell them the point. they are obviously ignorant.

  17. You don't have time to deal with those idiots. Make them watch the absolute, most disgusting video you can find on animals that'll be used for food later....maybe that'll change their ways a little.
