How do i strengthen my arms?

How do i strengthen my arms so they don't get tired and hurt during races and slow me down? I heard that tired arms during a race and workout can be caused if your arms are weak...like mine. I know it is not all tension causing my pain...

  1. also try pull-ups and chin-ups


  2. Push-ups make a BIG difference! Don't do too many, maybe 50 a day. But do GOOD push-ups, not sloppy ones. If you can only do 20 and they start getting bad, just stop, because you are no longer helping youself. Push-ups help build your triceps which allow your arms to push back faster during a race. But don't do push-ups the day before a meet, or you'll be sore.
