Question:

How do i swim fast in a 50 free style?

My time right now is 29.46(i wasnt trying my hardest when i swam this) i would like to get to 26..or at least beat this girl what are some quick ways i can get faster like when im swimming.. anything i can eat that will make me go a little faster?

  1. make sure u kick ALOT. also a fast (but still smooth) arm rep rate will help. ask a coach to help u out.

  4. Always try your hardest on sprints. At practice and at meets. That's what helps you build muscle to be faster. When you're swimming the 50 breathe as little as possible.

    If you're doing it in a 25 yard/meter pool, I like to take one at the flags at the far end on the first length and one more in the middle of the pool on the way back.

    If you're doing it in a 50 meter pool, I like to take one just before half way and another one about five meters outside the flags at the finish. Find the breathing spots most comfortable for you, the one's I mentioned are just a guideline.

    You're not going to drop 3 seconds overnight. It takes a long time to improve on sprints.

  5. make sure you push off really hard when you do your flip turn.....and when you jump off the block try to get a lot of height and distance....also stay under the water a little. that always helps me. improving your breathing may also help
