  1. Just keep up the practising and before you know it you Willl be able to do 100 as easy as the 50. It wil take some adjusting because your body is use to putting all you energy out at once, now you have to conserve your energy. good luck

  2. i know exactly how you feel!!!

i swim the 50 fly most of the time too!

what i usually try to do is when you take your start off the block i try to have a long kick out while still being in the lead with the other swimmers.  in my strokes i try to use mostly my kick...kicking is what usually makes my event a fast one...because my arms get tired super fast.  turns, use them as an advantage, your turn needs to be fast while being safe (don't make the officials DQ you).  again, fast but safe!!!  when you're coming off the wall kick far and fast.  one last thing...try to limit your breathing!!!

  3. Here are a few things to do to help get through the 100 with the best possible result.  The first is to extend your walls, the further you dolphin kick underwater the less you have to swim, don't overdo it on the first 25 though so you aren't able to do any kicks on the last 25.  Breathe every stroke except off your walls, you don't want to go into oxygen deprivation on the last 50 when you know you are going to feel horrible.  Next pace yourself, keep your stroke long and efficient until you get to the point where you think you can build into a fast finish, if that's at the 50 good, if its the 75 right on, if you have to stay long the whole time, so be it.  Lastly when you feel tired make sure to press your chest after you breathe and make that second kick as big as possible.

  4. keep your arms moving and breathe every 2nd stroke.  practice heaps.  Don't overdo yourself at the start and do breaststoke tumbleturns, not forward-roll-turns.

  5. This Is My Kind Of Question! Lol. Okay So, Everything Starts With The Dive. The Main Idea Is To Make You Swim LESS! I Know That Sounds Weird But The Less You Swim The Less Tired You Are, And The More Energy You Can Put Into The Race. So Work on Your Dive, Try To Get As Far Out As Possibe! Then Streamline, For Fly I Usually Do Shimmer Kick. As Soon As You Feel You Start Slowing Down Come Up. Don't Breathe First. Have A Pattern Through The Whole Race. EX: Breathe Dont Breathe dont Breathe Breathe...  It All Depends On What Kind Of Swimmer You Are. If You A Front Half Swimmer. You Would Take It Out Fast. If Your A Back Half Swimmer You Get FAster At The end. For The first Time You Swim This Event. I Say You Take It Out About 75%. At The Turn Dont Grab The Gutter!!! Touch The Wall And Get Right Back Off It.  Streamline Like You Did After The Dive. And Start Swimming. At This Point Of The Race, I Usually Try To Start Getting Ahead. Turn. Streamline. Start. After Your 3rd Turn, Start To Pick Up Speed To about 85%  Your Last Turn Take It all Out. 110%!!!! Give It All You've Got. You Should Have More Engergy Because You Streamline, And That Takes Off A Few Yards off The Whole Race So Instead Of A 100 Fly. It May Turn Out To Be An 85yd Fly! Touch The Wall With Your Fingertips. NOT YOUR PALMS!

  6. you should load up on carbs and stuff like that so you have lots of energy!!!

  7. pace yourself, if its long course, first 50, big harmonics and glide, last 50, SPRINT!!!

  8. keep practicing - you will get fitter and fitter and will eventually be able to do it E A S I L Y lol :-)

  9. okiee so first what you have to do is work on your upper body. you can work on your upper body by doing pushups. and if you have to do a sprint work on your lung capacity. and pace yourself

  10. go medium speed on the first length, pretty easy on the second length, medium-hard on the third, and whatever you have left on the last length.

  11. Try to keep your head down as much as possible. Dont breath when you dont need to. Do you do a double kick? If not you should learn, that will make your arms not get as tired. When you do a turn, come of the wall fast and push of hard, streamline good and kick hard off the wall. When you get to the end, try to not breath coming into the wall. Whatever you do, dont take an extra stroke into the wall......that got me so many times :(
