How do i switch hard drives?

i have two hard drives; local disk (C:) and local disk (H:), the second hard drive has more space, how do i switch the hard drive so when i download something, it goes to local disk (H:), to simply put it, how do i make local disk (h:) the default drive?

  1. Go to Tools ->Options of your browser or downloading program, and poke around in there. You'll see something about "Download Location" or "Default Download Folder", stuff like that. To change the location, there should be a  "Browse" button which will allow you to pick which drive to put all your downloads.


  2. That has nothing to do with your hard drive. It is with the program that you use to download things. For example, if you use internet explorer to download, it will ask you where you want it, simply put it in the H: drive. If you use Firefox, it normal DLs straight to the desktop. That can be changed in the options tabs. If you are using a torrent downloader; Azureus, Bitcomet, uTorrent, then you have to change it in the options as well. You don't necessarily need to change the "default" drive...

  3. So you will need to change your download destination to drive H. It depends on your download application
