how do i get the street lights in a thick straight line, like the pic in the link below?

i think it looks really cool.

  1. well your going to need a tripod because its reaaaaaaally hard to stand realllyyy still. so you pint at it and leave the shutter open to well about 15 seconds i suppose but if you want more light you can leave it up to 30 seconds.. but it has to be on a manual setting. for example i have a cannon rebel xti i would go to TV setting and leave it for 30 seconds.. and dont move and dont put anny like cellphoen light in the middle..


  2. Use a very low shutter speed, check your camera menu settings to see if you have one. Most digi's do these days.

  4. Camera on a tripod, set cameras shutter to "B" and hold the shutter open long enough for a few cars or trucks to drive by ... their tail or headlight will leave a trail.
