  1. Seraph has it right. It's the #1 page of Effects.

But you also need to make it into a final image you can post. Right?

Here's how I did it:  Once you are posed (remember the little pix are all still in real time), Press Shift>Command (Apple) and the number 3.

This takes a snapshot of your whole screen and puts it on your desktop as Picture 1.png.

Double click to open this file. then under File choose Grab.  Make a box around the image as you want to see it.  Release the mouse button, and the final image  shows up as a Snapshot.

You can give this a new name if you like.

there you go - start to finish.

OOPS!  Just realized ... the Shift>Command>3 is old technology.

Do it with Shift>Command>4 instead.  It's faster and required fewer steps.

  2. After starting Photo Booth, there will be a few button in the bottom panel, just above the picture tray. If you have OS X 10.5, there'll be a button saying 'effects'. If you press it, it will open up a panel with all the effects in your friend's picture. You can take a picture then (with the picture button) or select one style and apply that filter (by double-clicking on it).

If you have OS X 10.4, I believe there will be two buttons, a '1' and a '2' in the bottom right corner, above the picture tray. If you click on the one, it will display a lot of different color effects, and if you press the 2, it will display a lot of picture-warping effects.

    There ya go!
