  1. you should incubate it for about a month

  2. No good can come of it.

You don't even know what kind of bird it is!

A random abandoned egg in the middle of a field is not a high candidate for fertility.

  3. the egg can be old and dead even though it still has liquid in it but you should put it in front of a candle light to see if the chick has developed the moher must have given birth while she was on the grass field so if the egg has been out for days or overnight its dead but if not you should put it in an incubater and cotton and stuff doesnt work

  4. This egg is most likely dead or infertile.  Mothers will sometimes abandon an egg that's either dead, infertile, or has a problem of some sort.

To take care of a live egg, you'll need an egg incubator.  You must know the exact species, and set the temperature and humidity to the correct setting.  Depending on the species, the egg may need to be rotated after a certain amount of time.  It's a complicated process.  Different eggs from different bird species take differing time periods to hatch.
