  1. The hardware stores have stuff that should take car of them or, if you're in Europe, invite a bunch of hedgehogs for a feast.  I think they like those and snails.

I think opossums do here.  You can invite them if you're here, if you have a way of coaxing them.  They're not too bright.  You'll never train them.

Raccoons might eat them also.  You could bate them in with pet food, except they prefer the pet food.  They wait for that and ignore the grubs and other wild stuff.

  2. Kinda cruel, but if you pour salt on them they die.

  3. 1) Put shallow bowls of beer on your patio.  Slugs are lushes and they will crawl into the bowls and drown.

    2) Scatter flour on your patio in the evening.  It clogs up the slime glands and kills the slugs

    3) Catch them and cook them up with garlic and butter.  They are quite tasty.

  4. beer, brown ale in a dish, put it out at night, they get drunk and in the morning when they wake up with a hangover you tread on them

  5. Place a very shallow container in the ground so its upper lip is level with the ground. fill the container with beer. Drink the rest of the beer. If you have a lot of slugs place several shallow containers. Use a fresh can of beer for each one and drink the beer thats left. You will get rid of your slugs and have fun doing it.

  6. There are a few humane ways to eliminate these pests

    1. you can use snail/slug pellets that the slugs consume and die

    2. you can use salt and it kinda burns the slugs.
