How do i take care of this prayer plant i have?

ok it keeps dieing when i put it in the direct sun and in the dark it doesnt do much better so i put it under a lam p but its still not doing well i figured out i was over watering it a while back so i let it dry out then i watered it again i have been useing botteld water to water it but it still keeps dieing what am i doing wrong?

First of all I LOVE this plant.I think it needs more humidity. Try to place the plant on a pebble tray. If this is not possible place bowls filled with water around the plant. As far as light and water, it likes a lot of light, but not direct light, so your lamp maybe ok.  You don't want to let the plant dry completely out, just the top layer, before you water. You can test the water by sticking your finger into the soil, for a small pot, up to the first knuckle, It should be dry at the top, and moist at the bottom. For a larger pot go to the second knuckle.  Good luck.
