  1. You need to take them out each night and put them in a case with solution.  These can be found at a drug store.  Optifree and Renu are popular solutions.  Just make sure it says that it is for soft contacts on the bottle.

When you put your contacts in in the morning, dump out the old solution, rinse the case with contact solution, and let the case air dry during the day.  Use new solution each night.  Rub the contacts with solution gently in your hand (even if the solution is no-rub).  Replace the case every 3 months.  Never use water on your contacts or your case.  It has a lot of pathogens our eyes can't handle.

Don't sleep in your contacts and don't overwear them (like for a month).  It deprives your eyes of oxygen, lets bacteria and protein build up in them, and can lead to serious eye damage.  Also don't swim or shower in them.  They soak up chemicals and pathogens in the water and then hold them against your eye.  A lot of people do it, but it's not recommended.

If a contact is ripped or damaged or is painful or irritating, throw it out.  A ripped contact can damage your eye, and pain is a sign that something is wrong.  Best to just start clean.

    Good luck!

  2. i have acuvue..not the extended lense but i have the daily wear for a week.   use which ever solution you think you can tolerate better.. i use the opifree no rub.   if you feel like your eyes are getting dry especially with the weather and take them out but them in the little eye thing with soultion for and hour or so and them put them back in.. it will also give your eyes a little relief.
