  1. No on most cars you can buy a simple stereo installation kit (you can buy one for less than $15 at wal-mart, bestbuy, etc.) and it's fairly simple to just basically sort of pry it out of the dash.


  2. First you'll need to unsnap the rear AC vents and pull them away. Then you'll pull up on the center console, disconnect it, and take it out. You'll have to pry away the ashtray trim bezel and remove it, and then remove two bolts from the ashtray assembly to remove it. Finally you'll pry out the upper AC vents, disconnect them, and then take them out. You can then remove the radio and disconnect it.

    This is assuming your vehicle is between the years 2001 thru 2006.
