How do i take snips of a ordinary castle welling golds ( golden caconifer) might be spelt wrong

i have a few trees and cant afford to be keeping buying them as i need more. so how do i take slips of a tree now has to be the golden caconifer tree and where do i snip it. what do i do to transplant it and what time of year do i do it, can i do it now. i live in northern ireland if i do it now do i have to put it in a shed against frost. please i need all information as i don't know. please explain easily for me. time of year, how to and what do i do step by step. please and a big thanks in advance.

  1. I dont think you can grow these from slips to be honest with you.  They will grow from fertile seed.  


  2. Its castlewellan. A variety of leylandii.

    They're very cheap. Not sure you can propagate them from cuttings though.
