How do i take super glue off a...?

im trying to get back on my moms good side...

and we just moved into this new house about 6 months ago..well we werent in here about more then a month when my dad got super glue on our counter top.. and its a noticeable amount if you have the lights on at night cause its shiny...and i was wondering if theres any way to get it off without killing the countertop cause that wont work.. its a formica countertop

Unfortunately the things which will remove ALL of the glue will also damage the formica.  Even if the glue is well away from any seams, removers will probably bleach out the color finish on the surface of the formica.  I would try to minimize the size of the glue by taking a single edge razorblade and, holding it almost flat on the counter, begin to shave off the glue in small movements.  Just try a little at a time and take it slow.  Be sure to use eyeglasses as the chips may fly or the blade can break.  Also do not cut toward yourself and wear protective gloves if necessary.

Use fingernail remover or some ice..If that don't work call to a nail place and ask them how to remove super glue off of your nail and their goes your answer...

Let the super glue sit in hot hot water that will melt it

I don't know what formica is but paint thinner should work for dissolving super glue. It might take off the paint on your counter top... but maybe you can repaint it? I don't know sorry couldn't help more. =/

Is it the old style laminated formica or the new kind?

Nail polish remover. Use that and a paper towell. There should be no marring of the Formica countertop.

You're done.  Anything that will reverse the crystallization of the super glue -- Cyano-Acrylate will leave the counter contaminated for food use, or mess up the Formica.

There is Super Glue remover in hobby shops, but I wouldn't get food within 50 ft of it !!!
