  1. As for meal worms, they can cause impaction in young animals, and even in adults.  How old is the gecko?  http://hubpages.com/hub/Impaction

His crickets should be no longer than the space between his eyes, and should be gut loaded, as well as coated every other day, or every 3-4 days (depending on age) with vitamins and calcium with D3.  You can offer other grub like Phoenix, Silk, or Butter worms as a treat/suppliment a few times a week.  Avoid Wax worms.  Use them only as a treat 1-2 times a week, and only after he has eaten his crickets.

Just provide a shallow bowl of clean water at all times.  He will drink when he needs to.

As for handling?  Whoa!  Biting and flipping?  The poor guy is either very angry, or very scared.  So, stop doing whatever you're doing, and start over.

First off, Leos are nocturnal and he's not going to appreciate being constantly woke up and bothered during the day.  So, shift the time you are trying to handle him to the evening, when he'll be more inclined to tolerate it.

Don't just reach in and snatch him out (especially don't chase him around).  Talk to him calmly before you enter his habitat.  Let him hear your voice.  Wait until he's calm, and cocking his head and listening to you, so he doesn't think you're some predator swooping in to grab him.

When you reach in to get him, move slowly.  Try to approach him from the front and side, to grasp him gently.  Predators attack from above.  Be careful not to break off his tail.  A stressed and struggling gecko will shed his tail very easily.

Once you have him out, let him sit on one open hand while you make a 'cage' over him with the other, so he doesn't feel so threatened.

Don't try to pet him at first.  Just talk to him.  Let him get used to the idea that you aren't going to harm him.

Just hold him for short periods, at first, so he loses the fear he's been feeling.  Gradually increase the time you have him out over several weeks, and eventually he'll calm down and trust you.

Good luck, and enjoy your pet.

I hope this has been helpful.

  2. have you got a pic of him? he sounds pretty being an albino

also have you tryed holding him in your hand with your fingers over him, hold him with a little grip

as for the water put a drop on his nose, he will drink, if not put him in a shallow bath

  3. You don't need to get your lizard to drink, just leave fresh water in his tank in a bowl and he will drink when he likes.

Don't worry about him finding the water I have had lizards for years and rarely see them drink but of course they do.

To get him to stop biting, first of all check that the temperature is right in his tank, the heat mat only covering a third to a half of the floor space. Reptiles can get grumpy if kept to warm. Don't pick your lizard up the same day as it has been fed, he will be busy digesting food. Pick your lizard up gently, dont run around with him and makes sure others in the room are not making any sudden movements as this will scare him, don't keep a tight grip let your lizard walk over you freely

If your lizard doesn't want to eat worms it doesn't matter, they only need crickets to survive.

  4. offer him a tasty treat for sitting on you
