  1. You could tell if its a baby or an adult tooth by the size, baby teeth tend to be smaller, both in height and width. Their color is also slighty different. If you lost your front tooth(when you smile its one of the ones first showing) then its your adult tooth. why? because you loose those teeth at the age of 6-9, at 13 you start loosing your pre-molars(the two after your incisor or canine tooth). If you lost a tooth and it has not grown in a month is because teeth raise at a slow rate. If you know you lost your baby tooth and your adult one is comming in, it might of been a little low and thats why its taking time to grow, they specially grow slowly if theyre your premolars, if it doesnt grow within another month or two then that tooth is permanently stuck there(which does happen) if this happens you might want to have an oral surgeon extract it and then have your dentist place an implant on it which will make it look and perform like your real teeth, by the way implants are expensive(1 implant is like 2000-3000)  or you could see if they could build a bridge for you which is not cheap but it also looks and works good.
