How do i tell if my budgie is pregnant?

how do i tell if my budgie is pregnant we are starting to see are budgie grab the paper towel we put at the bottom of the cage and bringing it on like a pirch and we are wondering if it is going to lay an egg please need help?

Has it been with a budgie of the opposite s*x? Just because your budgie is bring up the paper towel does not indicate she is going to start laying.  He/she is far more likely to chew on it and use it as a toy.
