  1. Sounds like it could be. Animals are supposed to be sensitive to spiritual activity so maybe!

Then again my own dog doesnt' seem to care even if there were any ghosts nearby. And I feel like I'm being watched sometimes in my spare room.

  2. You're uncomfortableness is probably due to being in an unfamiliar setting. I got the same feeling when I moved into my house (it's close to 100 years old), but that all went away after six months or so when I realized that it was my subconscious causing me to imagine things. In other words, I thought I should be scared, so I was.

As for the wall thing, cats tend to meow and/or paw at things that aren't there. Every cat I've seen does that. But since the dog went straight to the same spot that the cat usually goes to, some sort of animal may have lived in there at some point and the dog is just picking up its scent. Or if the cat spends a lot of time around that area, the dog could be picking up the cat's scent. Another possibilty is that there might be a high pitched noise coming from electrical wires in the wall that is too high for humans to hear.

There are a lot of reasonable explainations. There's no reason to be scared of ghosts or whatever.

  3. If you want my honest opinion, I don't think you're house is haunted. Its a new house, you get usually nervous. Pets supposedly have a better sense to the paranormal, but cant they just be barking randomly? This does not mean youre house is haunted, but theres a possibility.

  4. Here is a link to a test page with several questions about your house to see if it really is haunted.

    Let's hope NOT! LOL

  5. All humans are afraid of the dark... Even if they don't know it yet......

  6. Trust your feelings, intuition and your pets. You are very aware of all the signs (the feelings of dread and unprovoked anxiety, animals responding in alarm, etc.) usually accompanying the appearance of spirits/ghosts.

I'd agree that, yes - it's very likely your house is haunted.

  7. Animals are extremly sensitive to spiritual activity.  I lived in a house with a significant amount of paranormal activity.  One night my (now ex) girlfriend, her brother and I were watching our two cats stare at a random point in space.  On a lark, he snapped a picture with his camera phone at the exact point the cats were looking, and then after the cats had moved on snapped another picture of the same place (he hadn't moved between the two pictures).  In the first one, there was a blue ball of light (usually called an orb) in the middle of the frame.  In the second there was nothing at all.

This is sort of a long way of saying: yes I think it highly likely that your house is haunted.  Mostly since two animals who had no way of communicating with one another are staring at the same spot.  Furthermore, your being ill at ease indicates that the spirit in your house isn't the Casper the friendly ghost type.

Try smudging your house with a sage smudge stick (avalable at hippie stores and head shops country wide).  Ask the person who sells it to you for the proper procedure, and while you are carring it around your house visualise peace, love and other positive energies suffusing the smoke and clearing out nastyness.  If you feel scared, uneasy or threatened while you do this, you will need to find someone who has dealt with spirits before to help you out, because the spirit that is inhabiting your house is too powerfull to be banished by a smudging.
