I would talk to a counselor and they can contact the authorities so you're not in danger just in case you tell him and he lashes out.

you mean you want the kids father to leave? does he pay rent? maybe you could evict him.

Legal aid might be able to help you get rid of him.  Would it be possible to re-train him though?  My fiance and I had both gotten into a habit of potty mouths, so we set up a jar, decorative, at the end of the kitchen cabinet.  Everytime one of us said a cuss word, we'd have to go put a quarter in it.  It's funny the 1st few times, but when you look at it, and realize how filled up it's getting, it makes you realize.  Even keeping a piece of paper, and every time someone catches you, (or you catch yourself), write, "I will not cuss again" on a line.  Mark each day differently.  

Also, you can go to the county clerk's office, and obtain a restraining order, based on mental abuse.  Hopefully, it won't come to that.  Be careful, no matter what you do.
