Question:

How do i tell my friend I don't want to go to the beach?

I don't want to go because we will get back really close to when i am going to my aunt and uncles house and its 3 days before school. I want to get used to waking up and sleeping early. I don't just want to come out and say... I don't want to go so any ideas??!!?!?!?

  1. well nicely explain that ur going to be on a journey and will be pretty tiered and crankey on the journey if u go to the beach now :) as the friend is a close one they shud understand


  2. You could always explain it to her exactly how to explained it to us. Or just tell her you don't feel well and think going down the shore is a bad idea.  

  3. Like the above poster, I agree honesty is the best policy. Or if you really want to lie, say you have a family engagement, got called into work, or are sick.

    PS-I don't blame you for wanting to get used to school...8:40 classes this semester start for me in 2 weeks..ugh.

  4. If you make up some excuse or give a long explanation, it will look flimsy and she'll assume you're lying. Just tell her you don't want to go. It's not that hard.  

  5. the way i see it you can do two things:

    1. tell your friend the truth and hopefully she'll understand.

    or

    2. tell your friend that you cant go because your parent/gaurdian says that you cant go because you have to go to school in 3 days and you are going to your aunt and uncles house. that way its close to the truth.

  6. Just Say, I think it would a better idea if I wouldn't go. Nothing against you, I mean I wish I could go, I love the beach and spending the week with you would be sooo much fun, but I really need to get ready for school and I'm also visiting my aunt and uncle, which my parents want me to do. So, I'm really sorry and thanks for inviting me!

  7. Tell your friend the truth.  That is what friends are for.  If you tell your friend a lie, you may not remember it the next time you speak and then your friendship will not be as strong because of the lies.  

    Honesty is the best policy.
