  1. Remember never to hit your cat, because there are better ways. ^_^

First get an empty water bottle and fill it with beans, rice, or something that makes noise. If you cat does something it's not supposed to, just shake it loudly. Most likely the cat will run away.

If that doesn't work, there's always a small spray bottle with room temperature water. A little squirt will help your cat understand it's not to be doing what it is.

Within time, you're cat will learn what don't get it wet/scared.

EDIT: For the answer with tapping it's nose, what if the cat bites your finger?

    Good luck!

  2. gentle tap is nose or blow on it

  3. DO NOT SPRAY THE CAT WITH WATER BY ANY CHANCE! THAT'S WHAT MADE MY CAT EVIL AND HATE EVERYONE. Just a heads up.

I suppose, you could sternly say "NO" and point your finger. Just make the sure cat sees you.

Don't ever do anything violent to the cat, that's really unnecessary.

  4. Tell him loudly NO in a stern voice.  I wouldn't hit him in any manner whatsoever; we are so much larger and they are not as resiliant as they appear to be.

It's a kitten and it's what they do.  Partly they are teething as well, so expect this to go on for a while.  I would play with a toy instead since their teeth are quite sharp.

  5. u should take him to to a vet

maybe there's something wrong with him

  6. Say "no" very loudly and use the same tone of voice every time.  They finally get it.  Make sure the "no" is loud enough to scare the kitty.

We had the same problem and found that this worked.  It works as long as you don't overuse the loud "no!"

  7. Cats are predators. Even though you provide your cat with all his meals, his instinct to hunt still exists. It is normal for cats to continually practice and fine-tune their hunting skills. Therefore, it is essential that you provide an outlet for this behavior or your cat will practice on you.

Three fifteen minute play sessions a day will give your cat enough opportunity to vent his energy. Make these sessions active and fun. Tie a toy to a length of string. Drag it in front of your cat, alternating between slow pulls and sudden jerks. Let your cat stalk and play attack his toys instead of you. If your cat becomes overly excited, tone down the play session. Do not resume until he has calmed down. If he begins to bite or scratch you, immediately scream "OUCH," stop the play session, walk away and ignore him. Curtailing a play session is an extremely potent punishment. Your cat will soon learn that it is his own rough behavior that causes the abrupt end of an enjoyable play session.

If your cat attacks you in play, entice him to attack when your are prepared with a plant sprayer. A few repetitions of an attack-squirt sequence should convince him to attack his toys instead of you.

  8. NO! works great, if that doesn't work, use a spray bottle with water in it.  DO NOT EVER hit a cat - they are smaller than you and you can injure one very easily.   My cat was hit in the head as a kitten, and 10 years later still cowers down when you go to pet her head, and we have never laid a violent hand on her - she was rescued from a teenager with a problem.
