  1. have your dad buy you a big steak

and serve it to you during dinner

i think she'll figure that one out

  2. I would be honest and upfront if I were in your position.

If you want to do so - the only way she is going to know is if you tell her.

  3. If your sister eats meat, maybe you should ask her how she handled it.

Also, if your mom is a vegetarian, I am going to assume that she is an endorser of 'free-thinking'.  You can just tell her that you would like to exercise your right to be the free-thinker she raised you to be and tell her you would like to try meat.

Aren't you old enough to go buy yourself some meat, eat it at a freinds or order it at a restaraunt and try it?  You may decide you don't even like it enough to want it again.

I told my parents I was becoming a vegetarian (at 14), not for their approval, but only so they would know to prepare less meat come meal time as there would be one less person not eating it. They gave me no resistance though they do not really understand it.

You might be surprised..give your mom some credit.  Your dad and sister eat meat afterall.

  4. Just TELL her you'd like to try it! ..... She's already making meat for your sister and dad, so it's no extra work to make some for you too!

  5. just be honest with her and say it in a calm, considerate manner.  i've got to tell you though, she's probably still not going to cook meat for you.  time to tie on an apron and buy a few cookbooks, i guess!

just make sure you think it through before making that choice....you don't want to regret it down the road!
