How do i tell my mother i've been having s*x?

i'm sixteen, and not really close with my mother, or any of my family. they always just sort of acted like i was just ...there. but i wanted to at least make it known to my mom that i've had s*x before so i can get checked and birth control if need be and what not. my only issue is, she never gave me a s*x talk, a period talk, "boys have cooties", or any of it. so i don't know how she'll react to it at ALL.

I'm afraid that just telling her is very well your only option. This may actually bring you two closer. She can see how you are mature in telling her and being responsible about the "telling her" situation.

It's easier to tell her you're having s*x rather than you're pregnant. Just find a good time to have a good chit chat with her.

Just tell her you want to talk to her about s*x.  See what she says to that and take it from there.  I am sure that once she knows that you have had s*x that she will do the right thing and see to it that you are protected in every way.

you don't have tell her at all. you can just go to your local clinic and talk to a woman. but if don't want to open up to a stranger then don't. just go in and ask for condoms and birth control. they will give it to you and your mom will never know.
