  1. Tell her this.

You:Mom i am depressed and suicidal

    Your Mom:Why is that?

    Then explain to her.

  2. I like a lot of the answers for ways to talk to your mom.  If you find you just can't talk to her, tell her you're not feeling well and speak to your family doctor.  Be very blunt about the suicidal thoughts.

Another option, is to confide in a trusted teacher, counselor or other adult you trust.

You can call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). It is the National Suicide Prevention Hot Line.  They can help you in the short term and give you local resources.  See the link below.

I'm not a doctor, but you have to understand that depression is an illness.  There are treatments that can help you feel better.  Please, please reach out to your mom or someone else.  You deserve to be living a happy life with your family and friends.

  3. u just tell her...and tell her u need help

  4. Maybe ask your mom if you can have some time to talk to her alone.  Then give her a print out of what you typed here to start the conversation.  Sometimes using something you wrote for other purposes is the best way to make it real for her and to make it easier for you to then talk about all that you wrote.

  5. Please tell her, just tell her what you just wrote here. You can feel better, you really can. I think you need medication and some therapy. Feeling that way is nothing to fool around with. I know this from experience, I just lost my nephew to it a year ago. Please tell your Mom or your school counselor so they can tell your parents if you feel uncomfortable doing it. Email me if you like.
