if you are too young to be dating then I don't blame you for being afraid to tell them as they will probably stop you.

but if you are old enough to be dating, then you need to find the courage to just tell them. They may kind of know already, what do you think?

So tell them in a casual way.

"I;m going out with Mike tonight, we have been seeing each other for a while."

But if you are under 16 be prepared for some discussion about this.

i have the same problem!! when i get a bf, i plan to tell them by slowly breaking it to them, like in a car ride or something, i would say ... soooo how do you feel about me having a boy friend? then they would get their stern expression and say something inappropriate... then i would just flat out tell them. What can they do about it? they dont control me! If they dont like it thats their problem... im ready now i make that choice not them, just like you do not them. At least they will know, and i wont be lying to them
