How do i tell what calibur a bullet is?

just wondering. i came across this keychain in the shape of a bullet

Usually you should take it to a gun shop, if its like something serious. A cop or police man Will probably tell you, if you say that its only for a necklace. Then if you want to get more advanced, all different guns have different ballistic marking. With a microscope, like 100 you can see them!

If it is a real bullet it will tell you on the bottom.
