I need to know how to test an omc 10 amp. marine circuit breaker, part number 986281

  1. I don't know what voltage you are using, but you need a load of voltage divided by 10 amps with a wattage rating of of voltage times 10 amps.

    If 12 volts, you need a 1 ohm load at 120 watts. that would pull 12 amps and trip the breaker.


  2. Circuit breakers if tripped many times it losses it ability to hold so if in doubt replace it> As the price is less the hours of wondering if it's any good>Or connect the source to another breaker and see if it holds??
