  1. Get AVG Free v8.0.

I have it and it has:

Anti-virus, anti-spyware, e-mail scanner, license (dont no wot thats for!), link scanner, resident shield and an update manager. you might have to update it manually. to reset your computer, use windows restore, and put it to the date that you got your computer/laptop. p.s. don't install avg BEFORE reseting your pc!

  2. Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG. Install both - free down loads. AVG can be set to run automatically, Spybot you have to initiate the run, (I do this about twice a week). After this see if you still need to reset your PC. If so first back up your files and folders to disc or memory stick as a precaution. Go Start - All Programmes - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore.

  8. Some of the viruses that behave the way you have mentioend are called rogue virus. They are actually programs that are installed on your system and even many antivirus often mistake them for legitimate programs. Moreover, they are often a group of different programs installed by malware or adware as it is in your case now.

So first go to your control and Add or remove program and check out the program that are not part of what you have installed. Uninstalled them but I must warn that in some cases, the programs may be blocked from installing. So, do a search of the name of the program, in relation to the type of p**n name that is showing on your system. Restart your computer in Safe mode and delete the folder where you have found the file. In some cases, there may be some other hidden files that are not visible, so extend your search to such names also.

After you have done this, load a good antivirus, Kaspersky, is one of the best choices, set the option to remove malware, adware and do a total scan of your system. The Antivirus should certainly located and eliminate the virus.

You can take this last step first and you should be alright.

  9. I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4,

which is free for personal use.

Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do

a boot scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.

Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.

Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files

automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.

This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,

and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You

must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files

from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do

not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.
