  2. have you tried an  ancestry website?or try writing to somerset house in london they have all the births marriages and deaths registered there.you might find it on the uk governments website ( i think that www.directgov.co.uk) hope this helps

  6. The War Graves Commission gave me full details of my Uncles' deaths in World War I, plus details of their cemeteries, row and plot number.

    They were in the Gloucestershire Regiment (the Glorious Glosters) and the Regimental Museum were able to give me further information about the battles in which they were involved.

    It all helps to put some "leaves" on the branches.
