  1. Don't worry, any f****s could do those distances. you probably dont' even need to train.

  2. Well, one week doesn't allow for any kind  of "training".  In fact, you should probably just rest the last couple days to let your body recover to 100% for the race.

You can still do  the event without much training, especially since the distances are very  short.  I think  this is 1/8th the distances of a full triathalon,  which is fantastic for someone just beginning anyway.  All you really need is a bicycle and a swimsuit. lol

Since you've been running every day, I'll assume that is your strength of the event.  Generally, then,  you'll try to focus on minimizing your weaknesses.  With  one week  to prepare, I'd focus on just being able to  "survive" the swimming part of it, since I'm not sure about your swimming skill level.  Same with the bicycling part.  No need to buy a new bike,  just make sure whatever you have  is tuned up and set up the  way you feel most comfortable for  racing 11 miles.

Most importantly, have fun!  Don't  stress yourself too much, just try to survive the event and do your best.  Pace yourself through  the swimming and bicycling, just try to  keep up  with the others,  if possible, then the running part give everything you've got left.  The most important thing you can gain from your first event like this is experience and knowing what to expect as you continue along with this sport.
