  1. theres this thing called a wee-wee pad, u put it on the floor and ur dog is supossed 2 pee on it :]

  2. whenever she looks like she needs the toilet (sniffing around the floor) take her outside and once she is done her stuff reward her. keep doing this until she gets the message. good luck

  3. You know one of those plug in dog repellant sound makers? If your dog pees on the carpet, plug it in for 5 minutes so the dog gets annoyed and associates peeing on carpet with annoying sound. Then make your dog pee outside and after he is done give him something to eat so that peeing outside becomes equal to getting something to eat.

  4. They have puppy pads at the Pet Store, like Pet Smart.  Put one of them down by the door.  If you catch the puppy doing it in the house, rub his/her nose in it and tell him/her bad dog.  Then put him/her on the puppy pad.  The puppy pads have a scent on them that they say will make the dog want to go to the pad and having it by the door teaches them to go to the door when they want to go to the bathroom.  I raised puppies and they were already house broken by the time they were weened.  I took them outside three times a day, in the morning, lunch time and at night.  Just keep working on it some dogs take longer than others just like kids.

  5. smack him (not too hard) on the butt. And if he does it outside give him a treat!

  6. my dog used to do this so my vet told me to try him with a cage u put him in there every night (it also works for punishment to) and he hasnt weed in the house since hope it works xx

  7. We hung bells on the doorknob and when we caught her weeing in the house we'd take her to the door and lift her paw to ring the bells.  Also, when she'd pee or poo overnight, we'd show it to her then walk her to the bells and lift her paw to hit the bells.  When she would start doing it, we would give her a treat for a reward.

I think this works best for a few reasons.  1.) If you take her to someone else's house, you take the bells with you, show her the bells and she knows what to do.  2.) She won't scratch up your door.  And 3.) You can hear her when she needs to go outside.

  8. If you catch it peeing inside the house clap your hands real loud and say "No!" and quickly take it outside, but say something like "Let's go outside!" or something and then praise it.

  9. take the puppy outside evry half hour of so and put her on the floor.  say do wee wees or something like that and wait until she does one.  praise her afterwards.  in time she will learn that she must wee outside.

depending how old she is, i would say 5months and above,  you should tell her off if she wees inside.  but if she is still quite young dont tell her of as she wont understand and just get scared.

  10. Training a puppy not to pee in the house you have to have alot of patience and every time your puppy finishes eatten, drinking, playing and waking up take her out.  If you see her sniffing and moving in circles take her out.  Make sure to be outside with her so you can be there to praise her lots for doing her business outside.  Enjoy your puppy and good luck with the training.

Do not use newspaper or pee pads in the house.  Personally i never used pee pads but I heard alot of people have tried and it was harder to train the pup to go out.  I bred cocker spaniels and by the time I had sold them at 8 weeks they were going outside.  I never used paper or pee pads just kept bringing them all outside.

  11. Gee, I'm not sure and I do not believe there are any books, pamphlets or instruction manuals on dog training.  Looks like you are on your  own

  12. Hi just wondering, how many walks does the puppy get a day? When my boston was a puppy I would take it out of the house nearly every one hour and a half to do its business outside. Another solution would be to paper train it. 15-20 minutes after it eats take it to the spot where you want it to learn to pee and wait till it goes then after you can reward your puppy. Hope this helps:)

  13. Make her see weeing outiside as something posotive. Everytime she does it give her a treat.

  14. I rubbed my dog's nose in my dog's pee and told her "no" very sternly. (Not in it but put her nose right up next to it so she has to smell it.. eww.. they don't like that, just like humans wouldn't). Then I put her outside and left her out there for like 5- 10 minutes. She stopped after 2 times of doing this. Different dogs respond differently but this worked very well for my dog. Good Luck!

  15. i found if you keep on putting it out side every 30-60 mins they often pick up on it pretty quick, although some put thumbs down to a tap on the but it dont hurt however i must say i woundnt really recamend this at all i find if you put them out often it is a good method, or if they do it in the house i would take them to were they have had a wee or a poo and showing them then telling them what have you done and then put them out and leave them out for 10-15 mins if they do it again increase the time but with in reason and if it is raining or bad weather ensure that they have a form of shelter this worked for me also yes you could put it in the cage all night but make sure he/she go in when you go to bed and put the dog out side last thing at night and first thing in the morning,if you have a cage and the dog pees in it leave it for a day because the dog will not like the smell of there own urine allthough it may smell it should teach the dog not to do this if you dont have a cage dont let them have the run of the house till it is toilet trained let it sleep in the kitchen on a blanket or dog bed and if it is ok after a couple of weeks let it have the run of the house if it pee/poo after that in the house make it sleep in the kitchen agian for a few days then if it is ok let him back in remember the dog is trying to leave its scent and try to minimize lots of visitors for a while as it will exite the puppy and then will pee hope this helps

  16. make sure to clean all the spots with pet deodorizer because typical cleaners do not get rid of the ammonia smell from the urine and if they smell the urine they want to urinate there again. also, take her out often! small puppies need to go out up to every hour, reward her with a healthy treat and positive comments when she does her business outside.

  17. lots of patience with your new pup i just got a new pup and believe me its work  you'll be done training by 5 months if you take her out regularly  on a schedule you should have no problem Good luck

  18. Stick his nose in it and put him outside. Be firm but not mean. Don't use a playful voice, use a stern voice. Tell him NO. Pay attention while he is young. Watch for signs he is needing to go.ex, sniffing around on the ground, squatting, things like that. You can usually tell when they are getting ready to. Catch it before it happens. Trust me it can take a while before you get them all the way trained. It takes patience and time.

  19. whenever it wee's put it outside

and take it outside regulary and wait until it goes to the toilet..

  20. when she does it put her little nose in it and tell her no... OUTSIDE... and you can use a tin can with pennies in it.. Shake it real hard right after you tell her no.. she wont like the noise and she should get then hint that what she is doing is bad..

  21. Well I have two small dogs. And they never ever poo/wee in the house.

They always walk and wait at the back door to go in the garden.

Maybe buy those wee pads. And place it near the door not to close though. The dogs would like the smell of it and they wee on the pad.

Reward them when they do a wee on it.

Gradually move the wee pad closer and closer to the back garden door.

Then finally put the pad outside. Remember to reward them.

That's what I done and I have two shih tzu.

    I hope thats helped =)

  22. well we got a lhasa apso last year and it was 5 weeks   we got these pee pads and sat them at backdoor   everytime he looked as if he was going to pee  wee would put him on that and he got the hang of it  then we done the same but put him out the back.  he was trained in 2 weeks

  23. Put down newspaper wherever she pees and if she does a pee on the paper or outside praise her, give her a cuddle or a treat and give her plenty of verbal praise, she will soon realise that she is pleasing you when she pees outside or on the paper and do it more often, until you can take the paper away!

  24. I would suggest crate training.  I've done it with all of my dogs and none of them pee in the house anymore.  It's really simple.  Before you leave, take her out to potty and then put her in her crate and when you come home, immediately let her outside to potty.  Do this all day or just everytime you leave.  She will eventually learn that she does not want to use the restroom in her crate where she is, so she'll hold it until you get home to let her out.  It teaches routine and she will learn that she only goes to the restroom when you let her out.  When she goes outside and uses the restroom, praise her and reinforce her with a small treat.  I also try to pay attention to my dogs, if they're by the door, I know they need to go out.  One of my dogs, Lexi, will climb in my lap and whine when she needs to go.
