How do i transfer a vhs tape onto a dvd?

i want to transfer an old vhs movie of me walking when i was 8 months old onto a dvd?

You could try hooking up the Composite cables (Red,Yellow,White)l from your mini DV camera to the TV or VCR, and use the firewire from the camera to the computer. then using an advance editor you can use "Capture Now" to capture the video in raw DV clips.

Then just edit and export your clips as raw DV (in either Avi or Mov) then take the clips into your DVD software and burn your DVD.
