How do i transfer my songs from itunes to my iphone 3g?

when i plug my i phone in it just says error ex00001 this computer cannot sync songs to iphone "iphone" i dont no wat to do

if u downloaded itunes then u should be able to by making a on-the-go playlist with that u drag all your songs onto it from limewire(it free) and then go to iphone in the device section or whatever u names it then go to the music tab and make sure the on-the-go playlist that you want to sync is checked then hit apply and wait for it to get done syncing then u should be fine..but other than that i have no idea
