Question:

How do i transfer video that i recorded on my Hi-8 video camera to my computer? that device can i buy or need?

I just want to get the footage onto my computer so i can edit it and add effects and such.. just looking for a straight forward answer as like what device would work or what would i need to buy?.. i hear that dazzle could work? but i want to be sure before i spend the $90 on it..

  1. The Pinnacle Dazzle would work, but have a look at the Kworld DVD Maker - much cheaper and I'm told it works well.


  2. There are many vedio capture devises in the markit. Buy the one with 720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL system. Use Ulead Media Studio software to edit your captured footage and add effects.

  3. Sorry, Hi-8 video camera records in analog and a pc doesn't accept analog files/ vid streams. An additinal device to 'digitalize' the analog files wud be necessary.

    Convert the vid stream first from analog to digital.
