  1. Well, I believe, that software will not help you, becuse if you do not see any file, neither the software will.

    .

Because, the DVD disc MUST have two folders - VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TA where audio_ts is empty and video_ts contains a bunch of files. (*.VOB - actual video/audio data; *ifo - info about chapters etc. Simply command set for DVD player and *buf which is backup copy if ifo.) Now, if you do not see these files in windows explorer, something is wrong.

First - try to play the disc in DVD player - if it not plays - wrong disc, too bad...

If that plays, try again Windows explorer, open options and check "show hidden files" etc, just to see which files are on the disc. You must see those files I described above, otherwise there is something wrong with your DVD drive in Windows.

One more thing - there are multiple formats of DVD recordable discs - mainly "+R / +RW" and "-R / -RW".. most of newer DVD drives could play both, but some simply do not. It is possible, that your DVD drive in computer do not play the format of your DVD disc. Check that out as well and if that is the problem, buy multiformat DVD drive. They are cheap and readily available.

ONLY AFTER you see the VOB files, then you can start thinking about different software to convert and edit it as you wish. By the way, there is a lot of FREE (Legally free, not only trial) programs that will do the same as the suggested program in the first answer.

    Good luck...
