  1. Buy the D.V.D. or if it is home movie pay somebody to do it for you

  2. Use a scart lead to connect VCR to DVD recorder. check that recorder is receiving the tape that is to be recorded use source on the DVD remote to do this. insert blank recordable DVD disk press record on the DVD recorder, when you start the VHS tape playing

  3. Most of the answers are incorrect!

There are 4 things you need:

1st. A PC which has a Capture card installed already.

2nd. A program for writing your DVD, Which is called as Nero.

3rd. A DVD writer Drive, Which enables you to write The captured video.

    4th. A VHS Player.

So what you do, is that you insert the VHS Tape into the VHS player and connect the Player to the Capture Card of the PC(With AV Wires). And let the Player to Play the tape, and click on capture button on the monitor.

In this way You can capture the video in your PC, while VHS Player is playing the tape.

At last you can Put a blank DVD(More than 4x) into the DVD writer drive, Open Nero, Browse for the Captured file on your PC, And click on the button: "Burn".

    Wait until Burning Finishes.

So now you can watch you favorite movie in your DVD player.

  4. If you have an analog (VHS) camcorder…

You need an analog converter, either internal card or external such as the dazzle. It's very easy to use and come with good software. You would hook your analog VHS camera or VCR to the analog converter, the dazzle and then hook the dazzle to your PC. The dazzle cost around 70.00 , but worth the money if you have a lot of VHS to tapes to convert.

  5. You have to find a special program.  Its not easy to get a hold of.  My dad had one that would take VHS and turn it in to a MP3.  That was in 97 or 98.  If you can find a way I would love to know.  I am pretty sure you are going to have to find a software that can do this. Good luck.

  6. 1. to do that you can either go to a camera or printing shop and if they do the service they can do it for you.

    2. or if you have the special machine that does it (which i doubt) you can do it

    3. if you have a dvd player that can also record tv and also have a vhs player you can start playing the vhs, make the dvd recorder on the vhs channel and press record. the dvd recorder records the signal given from the screen channel not the machine. afterwards you then transfer the data to DVD
