ok im 14 and 5'6 and 120 lbs. i have a 2006 blaster with a 240 bore kit and a toomey exhaust and i have a 2006 raptor 700 with a power commander and full hmf exhaust. i have been riding dunes and desert for about 3 years but i want to ride mx tracks too. id rather ride my raptor on the track but i think its too big for someone my age to join any class. so i must ride my blaster . but the suspension is c**p the a arms are way too short and the tires look like baloons, i know its in no shape to race with but ihave no money to upgrade anything and im too young to get a job. so if anyone knows where to get really cheap parts with good quality please message me, and also if any one knows where i can learn how to race please message me. or if u have any advice feel free to ask.

  1. The first thing i would do is sell those quads and get a motocross bike! lol jk

    but seriously...

Tire choice, dunes use a paddle tire, you need more knobbies for motocross for more traction.

Motocross has a different form of riding, Your always getting traction, and its not as wide open as dunes, you will accelerate better, and there is alot of jumps.

Try eBay in looking for parts if not look in Chapparal website.

  2. Good Morning Austin,

Ebay is probably the cheapest way to get parts but alot of times the parts are coming from private sellers and thay tend to live hundreds of miles away and want you to be responsible for shipping.

A really good alternative is the website www.sponsorhouse.com. To get started it is absolutely free, but  that means you only get 5 applications and so many message posts.

What you do is click on sign up now and get registered. Once your registered you create your profile and here you can upload picture and videos of yourself as well as tell a little about you such as how long you have riden or what class you race. After your profile is set you look up sponsors click on their profile and click on the sponsor application button. If the company has any openings click on it then answer all questions honestly. allow a 1-2 weeks for a reply on most of them because there are so many riders it takes a little time to sort through. when you aquire sponsors you will have to sign the contract online and your ready to order.

*NOTE* the sponsors dont give you free stuff they give you insane discounts. your first few may be only 25-35% off but the more you get they go up to 50-75%.

After you use your 5 applications it is like $69 a year to get unlimited sponsor apps and I think you will find that you discounts should more than pay for your accuont and your racing.

    Good luck and Happy Racing!
