I just an ibanez rg recently and didn't know that on a floating bridge you are supposed to only change 1 string at a time to keep everything nice. I changed all strings at once without getting tension and tuning right. So, I watched several vidoes on youtube about tuning floyd rose guitars, but it didnt help at all. I got all the strings in tune once, but the floating bridge was far from level with the body. I put in another spring even though i used the same type of string that was previously on the guitar. (had 3 springs originally) I got it close again, but it was still lifting up from the body. I tried 5 springs and the same thing happened. So I gave up and took it into a guitar center. They basically said they wouldn't do it so i took it to another guitar place and they wouldnt do it either... A couple days later i decided to try again and broke my little e string... I am very very frustrated now and would appreciate it if there are any pros out there that can help me.
P.S.
I want to keep the floating bridge: I dont want to glue wood or metal to keep it from moving...
