the pantech duo technically cannot be a GPS device, due to the phone not having a GPS receiver in it.  there are other options if you're looking to get directions from your phone.  one would be to DL google maps onto the device.  you can find it at "www.google.com/gmm".  type that into the address bar of the web browser, of course, these are "free" in a sense, but u must have a data package in order to not incur extra fees.
